Immerse yourself…….

O Radiant Dawn

In May, local chamber choir, Ex Urbe are performing a very special Spring Concert which will provide an opportunity to switch off from the hubbub of everyday life. Here is a chance to immerse yourself in an evening of luminous reflection as Ex Urbe presents O Radiant Dawn. At the heart of the programme lies Tomas Luis de Vittoira`s Requiem Mass (1605) – a deeply meditative and timeless masterpiece. Interwoven through the evening , solo piano works lead us through a journey from dawn to dusk, evoking shimmering light, shadowed moonlight, and the quiet mystery of the night. The journey is mirrored by the surrounding choral works which trace this arc: O Radiant Dawn by James MacMillan, Hymn to the Sun by Lili Boulanger, Stars by  Eriks Esenvalds and Sure on this Shining Night by Morten Lauridsen. Join us for this exploration of light and time, where the majesty of the morning , the brilliance of the day and the mystery of night converge in an unforgettable meditation on life.

Dates for your diary: 10th May, 7pm, at St Nicholas Church, Warwick, and 11th May 4pm at Dorridge Methodist Church (which will also feature tea and homemade cakes).

Ex Urbe Chamber Choir are delighted to be joined by the very talented pianist Sara Wilander, whose piano performances will include works by Beethoven, Debussy Grieg and Ravel.

Tickets are £15 , available here Ex Urbe Chamber Choir event tickets from TicketSource.
