Ex Urbe is a chamber choir which draws its members from across the West Midlands, predominantly from Birmingham, Solihull, Knowle, Hampton-in-Arden, Bromsgrove and Stourbridge. It was formed in 1995 when a group of friends from the City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus got together to give a charity performance of the Fauré Requiem under Simon Halsey, the CBSC Chorus Director. This was such an enjoyable experience that the group continued performing under the leadership of John Bayley. Today our conductor is Benjamin Hamilton (click the tab to find out more about Ben)

The choir numbers around 20 singers comprising the usual four, mixed voice parts. We perform a wide range of music, usually presenting a couple of concerts each year at various venues across the region.
